The little girl in the picture and I would like to invite you on a little journey into the world of theatre without words. The little girl, who is holding her head so that it doesn't fly away, is thinking, perhaps consciously for the first time. This picture shows a state and does not need words to do so.
We use our bodies to think, feel, sense and experience ourselves. We understand the whole world with our bodies. And we perceive the world with our body - without a word - and express emotions, create situations and grasp spaces - without a word. We can make objects appear with our bodies and choreograph a little dance with our everyday gestures. We can tell stories without words about everything, about love, death and the devil, and much more.
We relate to others with our bodies, can imitate others and express ourselves humorously or tragically with our bodies. We set impulses and rhythms with our bodies. We change the atmosphere and sometimes we can even fly - just with our outside and inside, with our body and our psyche, almost without words, but with music.
By the way: The little girl and I have been making theatre for young and old (almost) without words for many years.
